Socialize TV At Your Finger Tips

In the latest ever changing social media world - the newest trend is the ability to allow viewers to comment on shows in real time. CBS has a site that allows their viewers to answer questions about their favorite programs live - giving them a chance to win prizes in real time. These are some of the biggest game changers that are sweeping the social media market in 2012.
This trend is allowing stations like CBS to literally have intimate relationships with their viewers. Entertainment companies in the past had no opportunity of knowing their viewers names much less forming real bonds with them, now they are able to identify not only the name of the individual but also the type of buyer the person is and which category they fit into.

It isn't surprising then to see new companies being formed with the intention to tap into this new market and the opportunity of striking Gold that it presents.
Mobile applications are the most popular offerings: check-ins, interactive TV guides, universal remotes, platforms for real-time conversations on Facebook, Twitter, chat … everything is being tried to create the ideal companion for TV viewers.
